A disclaimer……it was summer yesterday and has been for the past week but true to form we are back to rain today and so this post isn’t quite as relevant as it perhaps would have been a few days ago!
However I’m so in love with these pieces from the H&M X Anna Glover collection that I couldn’t not share. If you are a follower of my Instagram feed, abrunetteedit (if not pop over and sign yourselves up!) you’ll have seen me post a picture of one of these tops on a recent evening out.
I’m someone who goes through clothes droughts where nothing catches my eye or appeals for months and then all of a sudden a flurry of picture perfect items appear and I just have to have them! This collection currently at H&M is a case in point. Its basically spring in a capsule wardrobe and features bright, colourful prints mixed with light airy fabrics to suit all occasions.
The piece that first caught my attention was this gorgeous patterned blouse which screams of lazy summer evenings and Pimm’s on tap. Its perfect paired down with jeans and sandals but also party appropriate with some heels. In short, I love it!
Another fact about me, I like to buy the same item in multiple colours If I find something I like, so of course I went back and bought a second one! This time I went for a khaki coloured version which, whilst on the hanger looked somewhat mundane, worn in the sun it has a very subtle thread woven through it which shimmers and gives off a very slight gold hue, again gorgeous!
The collection also features palm tree prints, bumble bees and polka dots as well as lots of yellow tones which seems to be the colour of the moment (no evidence to back this up but I’m liking the brighter colours!).
